CDL license testing:

TKT Drivers University training prepares you for the written and driving parts of your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A test with:

50 hours of classroom training
-
50 hours of field/range instruction
-
40 hours of observation training
-
20 hours behind-the-wheel training (to include 3 hours night driving) - per student
Upon passing the CDL Beginners permit exam, the written knowledge tests, SCDMV issues a CDL permit. This allows training from a CDL training school.
The beginners permit is required before being accepted into the School.
After driver training, three part practical testing will be required to secure a CDL. This includes: Vehicle inspection test, the basic Controls test and the Road test.
